Beauty products aren’t cover-ups for insecurities, they’re tools to discover yourself. Personal style is not about conforming to societal standards, it’s a medium for the radical, empowering act of self-expression.

For years, I photographed beauty while hiding from the camera myself, feeling disconnected from the beauty I was capturing. I didn’t feel “pretty enough” to engage with makeup. I perpetuated standards rather than challenge them.

I knew my work had to aim higher than just adding to the endless stream of aspirational imagery. When I shifted my focus to reflecting the unique beauty of others back at them, I began to see beauty in myself too.
